NSW Pitchfest – innovative small business start-up support
Entrepreneurs take note! Got a great business or business idea? Need investment capital or seeking a small business start up loan? The Australian Small Scale Offerings Board (ASSOB) is presenting NSW Pitchfest - a highlight event of NSW Small Business September to be held 15 September, from 1.00pm to 5.30pm at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.
The event is a pitching competition for projects and businesses to communicate their investment opportunity before a judging panel drawn from a variety of financial and business backgrounds.
NSW Pitchfest will showcase quality projects and business propositions that need investment capital to achieve their full potential.
“These high-growth businesses often find it difficult to raise development capital because they are too “early-stage” or don’t fulfill the usual funding criteria for professional and institutional investors”, says ASSOB’s Managing Director Brookes McTavish. “The Australian Small Scale Offerings Board bridges this gap by offering a single platform where retail, professional and sophisticated investors can assess and contact businesses requiring capital.”
“I encourage entrepreneurs and small businesses to apply to NSW Pitchfest ‘07. The process will give you valuable resources, networks and relationships through ASSOB and NSW Department of State and Regional Development as well as rare exposure to the investing community”, McTavish says.
The winning pitchers receive $10,000 listing fee on www.assob.com.au and $10,000 towards business consulting from the Department of State and Regional Development.
The deadline for NSW Pitchfest is 20 August.
